Kentucky has been selected to serve as the Pilot Partner State for the FIPSE OnCoRe Blueprint Project.  It was evident from the application as well as a site visit that Kentucky is well positioned to move forward with the planning and implementation of a statewide digital repository.

After reviewing the many excellent applications, it was decided to incorporate both a primary and secondary location into the pilot structure.  Minnesota has been selected to serve as the second Pilot Partner state for the project.  The difference between the two roles is the availability of travel and evaluation funds for the primary pilot state.

During the application review project, we recognized the importance of multi-state collaboration and sharing of information as significant and a major part of the FIPSE grant.  To support and develop a strong, effective partner network, we have also established the OnCoRe Collaborating State Partner Network (CSPN).  All information and materials created by the grant, including the OnCoRe Blueprint, will be made available to Collaborating State Partner (CSP) members to assist the states in developing a statewide repository.  CSP members will also be invited to participate in bi-monthly conference calls on topics of mutual interest and to submit research information, ideas, documents or suggestions for improvement and enrichment of the Blueprint and website.  Case studies are welcomed as well as contributions to the wiki and BLOG.  The goal of this grant is to document and share the lively dialogue regarding the challenges and rewards of developing a repository.  Discussions of both effective and ineffective policies and procedures should be beneficial to participating states.  At the end of the grant, we intend to host a conference focused on repositories for CSPN members.

Other interested institutions or educational organizations are also invited to join the community and become collaborating partners. Please complete the Collaborating Partner Survey.
